Engagement of an Accountant / Accounting Firm / Former Manager Financial Operations
Preparation of Financial Statements

The Mauritius Society for Animal Welfare (MSAW) hereby invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified professional accountants or registered accounting firms to undertake the preparation of the Financial Statements for the financial year 2016 and subsequent years.

Scope of Work

The selected accountant / accounting firm will be required to:

  • prepare the draft Financial Statements for the financial year 2016 and subsequent years in accordance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements;
  • ensure full compliance with the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS);
  • review, reconcile and validate accounting records and supporting schedules;
  • provide explanations and clarifications to Management and external auditors, as required; and
  • facilitate the timely submission of Financial Statements for audit purposes.

Eligibility Criteria

Interested applicants must:

  • be a qualified professional accountant or a registered accounting firm;
  • demonstrate proven experience in preparing financial statements for public sector bodies, statutory organisations, or similar institutions;
  • possess sound knowledge and practical experience in the application of IPSAS; and
  • be duly registered with the relevant professional and regulatory bodies in Mauritius.

Submission Requirements

Interested parties should submit:

  • a brief profile of the accountant / firm;
  • details of relevant experience and similar assignments undertaken;
  • evidence of professional registration and certifications; and
  • contact details of the responsible officer.

Submission Deadline

All those interested in the program are invited to send their application by email on secretary@msaw-mu.org, by Monday 09th March 2026 at latest 14hr00.

Late applications will not be considered.

The MSAW reserves the right to accept or reject any Expression of Interest application without incurring any liability whatsoever to any applicant.
